Description

The Warranty Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, execution, and follow-up of warranty claims across aircraft, engines, APUs, components, and cabin systems.

The role ensures timely submission, complete documentation, contractual compliance, and maximum recovery of warranty entitlements. It supports Engineering cost control and fleet reliability by proactively identifying warranty opportunities, pursuing recoveries, and maintaining strong coordination with Engineering, Maintenance, Technical Records, Finance, and external suppliers.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify warranty opportunities arising from defects, removals, shop findings, teardown reports, and supplier performance trends.
  • Ensure early capture of recoverable events to maximize claim eligibility.
  • Prepare, submit, and track warranty claims in accordance with OEM and supplier contractual requirements.
  • Ensure claims are submitted within contractual timelines with complete, audit-ready technical and commercial documentation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Technical Records to collect:
  • Defect reports and troubleshooting data
  • Removal and installation records
  • Shop visit findings and teardown reports
  • Component traceability and certification documentation
  • Compile accurate claim packages using standardized templates aligned with contract terms.
  • Maintain structured digital records of submitted, approved, rejected, and pending claims.
  • Monitor claim status and follow up proactively with OEMs and vendors.
  • Track recovery performance, claim cycle times, and supplier responsiveness.
  • Escalate delayed, disputed, or rejected claims with root-cause analysis and recommended recovery actions.
  • Act as focal point for technical justification and warranty correspondence.
  • Support warranty dashboards and performance reporting including: (  Recovery value , Claim cycle time, Supplier performance ratings, Recurring defect trends )
  • Highlight systemic or recurring failures to Engineering and Reliability teams.
  • Identify bottlenecks and rejection patterns to improve recovery rates and process efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing structured documentation trails and evidence packs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Technical training in aircraft systems, engines, or components is advantageous.
  • 3–6 years of experience in an airline, CAMO, or MRO environment.
  • Practical experience in warranty handling, technical records, maintenance support, or engineering support.
  • Familiarity with OEM warranty processes and documentation standards.
  • Experience with AMOS is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and component lifecycle management.
  • High documentation discipline with audit-ready record control.
  • Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with strong follow-up capability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive and structured approach to supplier coordination.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across Engineering and Finance.
